My two major allegiances as far as loyalty programs for flying are Delta and American. Delta was the one I grew up on being based in Minneapolis, but now close to Miami and heading to the America's and Caribbean a lot, plus Vegas for a while, AA just takes us everywhere, so I'm in both.
In terms of lounges, American Airlines lounges and Delta lounges are very comparable. I like both, and each have pro's and con's.
Both have free food with membership.
Both have free house cocktails, beer, and wine.
Both have the ability to pay more for a premium spirit.
American lounges dominate Miami airport.
Delta's lounge is only in Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood (we use each airport interchangeably.)
AA's is bigger.
Delta's is nicer.
And I'm just speaking of those two aiports.
In terms of overall, and for any world travelers who have used the lounges more extensively, which airline lounge out of those two do you prefer?
